Columbus Tree is a DBA of Garrison McKinney Tree Service, one of the largest tree operations in any metro under 100,000 people in the country.
Who we are
Columbus Tree runs the Lowndes County work for Garrison McKinney Tree Service. Same cranes, same grapple trucks, same mulchers, same climbers, dispatched locally out of Columbus instead of driven in from two hours away.
That matters twice: on a Tuesday when you want an estimate today, and at 2 a.m. when a loblolly is across your roof and every crew in the region is already committed.
The equipment we actually own
Knuckleboom crane trucks and a Sennebogen 718E material handler for removals over structures, bucket and tracked spider lifts for pruning, grapple trucks and dump trailers for debris, tracked stump grinders that fit a standard gate, forestry mulchers and track loaders for clearing, and excavators for root balls and site prep.
Owning the iron outright is why we can size the machine to the job instead of talking you into whatever is already on the trailer.
How we price
Free on-site estimates, written before any saw runs. No surprise add-ons after the fact. Financing is available on larger jobs, as low as $0 down, and storm damage to a covered structure is frequently an insurance claim rather than an out-of-pocket cost.
Licensed and insured
Full general liability and workers' compensation. Certificates are issued directly to homeowners, HOAs, property managers and municipal clients on request. Ask any contractor for both before you let them climb.
How we work a job
We follow ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z133 safety practice. Nothing gets topped, nothing gets dropped over a target, and nobody works a tree touching an energized conductor until the utility has cleared it.
